general rules & information
+ All of the guidelines outlined for the group also apply to the forum! For a quick summary: respect everyone, avoid god moding/powerplaying, and make sure all your content is your own! Additionally, any matters regarding EE should be asked to the group, not the individual mods.
+ Existing members who register on the forum should note the username they registered with to the dA group, so that we can approve your account on the forum!
+ After you've registered, it's recommended that you include a link to your character sheet(s) in your signature! This makes it handy for both you and your rp partners to read up on your character(s). You can do this by going to your profile -> Edit Profile -> select the Social Tab. In the signature field, you can link to your sheet with the following code (Proboards uses UBBC, which is usually identical to HTML, but with [ ] instead of < >):[a href="link to your sheet"]Character Name[/a]
Or, you can also make a signature image and use this to link it instead:[a href="link to your sheet"][img src="url of image"][/a]
+ Whether you'd prefer your display name to be your OC's name or your own usual handle/dA name is up to you!
+ In keeping with the Proboards ToS, please keep all content here PG-13 (IC and OOC).
+ If you have any questions specific to the forum (ex., needing help with code or how to work a certain feature), feel free to contact Pai!
+ You can keep track of your threads via the Participated button in the top right corner under the banner, which flashes with "NEW" when a thread you're participating in has a new post! You can also bookmark threads (by going to the thread --> "Actions" drop down menu right above a post --> Bookmark), which will also give you an alert when they've been posted in. If you'd rather keep track/organize your threads yourself, you're also welcome to make a Thread Tracker!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------roleplaying guide
+ Roleplay threads for forums come in two forms--Open threads, and Private threads.
Open Threads - These are threads with a starter post that's open for anyone to reply to and continue the rp with. Think of it like when someone throws a starter in the rp chat and whoever wants to rp replies to it--or when someone wants to join in after an rp has already started between two or more people. They're great for meeting new characters and are often very spontaneous! Open threads are indicated by [OPEN] being in the title. (EX: a thread name might look like "Cleaning the Chapel [OPEN]")
Private Threads - These are threads set up where the participants are already decided. Basically, for when you and someone else (or multiple people) already know you're rping! These are the most common thread type, and they're indicated by the participating character's names featured in the title. (EX: a thread name might look like "A Drunken Business Venture [Tobi & Shay]")
+ If you join an open thread, be sure to keep an eye on it in case others are waiting on you!
+ Threads can go on for any length you like, and include as many people as you like!
+ Posts have no required minimum or maximum word count, so post length is entirely up to you.
+ You are free to use Liquid Time within the forum--that is, you can have as many rp threads going at once as you like!
+ If your thread includes multiple people, it's up to you if you want to adhere to a specific post order or not!
+ When your thread is completed, the person who made the thread should add [DONE] to the thread title, and include the total word count for the entire thread in the first post. If you like, you can also have a staff member lock the completed thread.
+ To submit roleplay threads for gold, either note a link to the thread (with the word count edited into the opening post) to the group, or include it normally in a dA submission.
+ You're also more than welcome to art rp!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
